Avik Santra received his M.E. degree (Hons.) in signal processing from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru in 2010. Early in his career, he was a System Engineer developing signal processing algorithms for LTE/4G modem chipsets at Broadcom Communications. Subsequently, he worked at Airbus as a Research Engineer developing algorithms for cognitive radar demonstrators. He is currently senior staff expert algorithm engineer developing signal processing and machine learning algorithms for industrial, consumer and automotive short-range radars and depth sensors at Infineon Technologies AG, Neubiberg, Germany. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and has filed over 40 patents, published over 30 research papers and is the author of ‘Deep Learning Applications of Short-Range Radars’, published by ArTech House. He is a reviewer for various IEEE and Elsevier journals.
